Frequently Asked Questions
Straight answers to the questions travellers ask us most.
How far in advance should I book? For peak season, six to twelve months. For green season, three months is usually enough.
Is it safe? Tanzania is a stable, welcoming country and safari travel here is very safe. Standard travel sense applies in towns and cities.
Will I have Wi-Fi? Most lodges have Wi-Fi in public areas. Mobile signal is patchy in the parks, which many travellers come to appreciate.
Can you cater for dietary requirements? Yes — vegetarian, vegan, halal, gluten-free and allergy requirements are all straightforward with advance notice.
What about tipping? It is customary but not compulsory. As a guide, $20 to $25 per day for your driver-guide from the group, and $10 per day for camp staff.
