Cultural visits work best when they are unhurried and properly paid for. We work directly with village committees so that fees reach the community rather than a middleman.
Popular experiences include a morning hunt with Hadzabe families at Lake Eyasi, blacksmithing with the Datoga, Maasai boma visits in the Ngorongoro highlands and Chagga coffee farms on the slopes of Kilimanjaro.
We ask travellers to follow their guide's lead on photography and to treat visits as an exchange rather than a performance.
